Welcome to Legend of Nom! My name is Gabby, and I created Legend of Nom to celebrate how fun and delicious gluten-free cooking and baking can be. I hope that the recipes here inspire you to try cooking gluten-free and not feel like you're eating cardboard. Some of these recipes here take a little magic and specialty ingredients to work. Gluten-free baking can be a wonderfully complicated adventure. Other recipes are naturally gluten-free. As this site grows, you'll find all my favorite recipes, and I hope to inspire you with new flavors, ingredients, and techniques to try.

Do I have to be gluten-free to enjoy these recipes?

No! These recipes are for everyone. My goal in creating Legend of Nom was to craft great recipes that happen to be gluten-free.

What if I’m vegan or vegetarian?

Not all of these recipes are vegan or vegetarian. Especially a lot of the baking, having a constraint like gluten-free makes it very difficult to start cutting out other things. I will do my best to supply substitution suggestions but feel free to reach out and ask me any questions over on Instagram @legendofnom

Where do you grocery shop?

I shop all over the place but primarily at whole foods and trader joes. I love to go to farmers' markets to find seasonal ingredients and international grocery stores for specialty ingredients.

If you are trying gluten-free baking for the first time, here are a few rules to live by:

  1. Weigh everything! Measuring cups are the enemy and aren't consistent enough.
  2. Learn where the hot spots are in your oven.
  3. Use the recommended flour blends I've provided. Not all gluten-free flour blends are created equal.
